A little bit of Everything, Out On The Lawn

Summer. Summer. Summer.

I love summer! Perhaps more than ever before since I technically have the summer ‘off’ from teaching and get to do lots of fun things. We started our summer fun the week of Memorial day (actually, the week before that when we did a quickie road trip for this awesome party!)

We are super lucky to have an amazing vacation planned this summer so we’ll be visiting Vancouver and Alaska! Most other days, we’ll be around home and enjoying the simple pleasures like bike riding and gardening. It’s inspiring to have time to let your mind rest and rejuvenate. Oh, who am I kidding, my mind rarely rests. I’m always thinking of the next thing to do, or make or learn….and I love it! I guess that is my rejuvenation.

I found this super cute printable summer fun list from The Crafting Chicks and thought this would be a great way to list our summer plans, including a bit of work too. You can download your own copy on their site and hang it up with all of your plans. I sat and typed up the list with my daughter next to me, so these are our plans.

2013 summer fun list & a litte work too

Wishing you a great summer too! Any plans or summer traditions that you want to share? How about a song?
Here’s a few of our favorite fun summertime songs:
Summertime – Will Smith
It’s Magic – The Cars
California Gurls – Katy Perry
California Girls – The Beach Boys

  1. LOVE the chart! SO cute. I have some friends who I will definitely share this with. Sounds like you have a great summer planned! I LOVE summer too!! Only 12 more days of school here! YIPPPEEE!

  2. Your fun items on your list look exactly like mine! Want to know something funny? When I started reading this article, the Summertime song was in my head. When I scrolled down and saw it at the bottom of the page I started laughing! Great mind think alike!

  3. I love what you’ve done with the font! I am having a hard time with this. I downloaded it but am not able to print or edit it at all!! How did you edit with the chalkboard font? What program are you using? Super cute, I know my family would love this, please help 🙂

    1. Hi Jennifer. I used my Adobe Photoshop Elements program to add text to the background. If you are able to print it, you could probably use a chalk pen. I’m not sure why it won’t print for you but click through to the original source to see if they have some answers for you too.
