Crafts!, Daisylane, Party

KTLA morning News LIVE! with The Craft Shack

Last Monday morning, before the sun came up, we had a craft party in full swing for the KTLA morning news as Allie MacCay’s live feature. We know many of you saw us and we thank you for connecting with us afterwards. If you missed it, you can watch here.

What an amazing experience! We were so excited to be chosen as a story and knew it was our chance to share what we do, our passion for crafting together and our amazing 1967 vintage trailer, Daisylane.

Was it hard to get up at 2:30am? Well, yes, but totally worth it! Our tween party girls seemed to have no problem. Thank you Ali, Taryn, Tristan & Annika! Our adult crafters, who are all Interior Design students helped with a few finishing touches before we began the fun crafts. Thank you Lacey, Kelly, Megan & Samantha!

The younger girls worked on a variety of crafts with photos we had printed from their Instagram accounts. Magnets, photo cubes and wall hung collages we among their projects. The Adults worked on a painted canvas piece with vinyl accents, a la Paris and a burlap wreath for St Patricks Day.

We are still smiling and elated about the whole experience! We’ve book a few parties, gained many new followers on Facebook and Instagram and met some great new friends.

We need to make sure and say thank you to a few more people too! To Allie MacCay, thank you for choosing our story. We had so much fun with you and hope we can host an evening event for you and your friends too! To Mike at Boomers FV: thank you for allowing us to use your location, for providing lights and of course, restrooms. To The Canned Ham Man: Chris and Shelly, we would not be where we are or what we are without you. To Elise at Momentum Textiles: we absolutely love our upholstery fabric! (And if any of you are not familiar with Crypton fabrics, you should learn more about why I stated it was “wine proof”) and finally to the best partners ever: Amy & Sandy, we make a great team! A special thanks to our family and friends who have helped in so many ways and believed in us from the start, we love you.

So to this, another beginning…the start of a great year and many adventures to come! We hope to see you at a party or event soon and be part of your memory making.
