Our very first party, officially as the Craft Shack was just last summer. We had just purchased Daisylane and were really excited about getting stated offering our craft party services. We wanted to create a plan for parties when the trailer was not available (and if you’ve been following for any length of time, she’s not ready yet) or if the trailer was not a viable option for the party.
It was not hard to find a group of willing participants for this kick-off summer party! We hosted an amazing group of girls for a 12th birthday party in a backyard setting. We set up the party and prepared all of the craft kits. The parents provided the food and refreshments and we styled the table for a pretty backdrop.
We consulted the birthday girl to discuss color scheme and craft ideas. When each guest arrived, she entered the craft area under the large canopy and there was a personalized box with all of her supplies.
We were there to provide a demonstration for each craft.
We love that they put there personal touch on their crafts too!
After craft time, the girls enjoyed pizza, lemonade and homemade cake pops! This was about a 2.5 hour party, we scheduled for 3 hours. The crafts took about 1-1.5 hours and afterwards, the girls visited, listened to music and enjoyed the food and refreshments.
An amazing time was had by all! A few weeks later, I was thrilled to receive a special hand written thank you note from the birthday girl herself.

Wow, it is so beautiful and vibrant! Cake pops are such a cute idea and easy to eat. You are so gifted with color!
Thanks Heather!
Such a great idea! It looks like those girls not only had fun but also had something tangible to take with them! 😉
It’s fun to combine the activity and the party favor and they were very proud of their creations.
My son’s birthday is coming up and I so wish I lived near you!!
Let me know if you need help with ideas!
