When we were envisioning the types of parties for The Craft Shack, we initially put together ideas for smaller groups. Quickly we realized that we needed to accommodate much larger groups and we have been able to do that successfully and have a great time with it. Another factor of our parties is the type and complexity of crafts, which are typically geared to girls 10 and up. Last year, we put together a beautiful party for a 1 year old with fun activities and decor! This past weekend, we turned The Craft Shack into a pretend-play “Frozen” yogurt shoppe for a sweet 3 year old!
We most definitely have some creative friends and this party came together with Jenny’s vision for her daughter’s 3rd Frozen-themed birthday! She had a great system for the party planning. She had a large plastic bin dedicated to all the decor and items to be used for the party. This made it easy for her to inventory what she had and easy for us to find it. She also had a vision for the craft and activities. So where did we fit into all this? We helped the vision come to life. We created the amazing backdrop for the cake table. (Jenny created the amazing cake and sweet treats!) This was a perfect photo-op for the birthday girl and great way to capture the moment.
We set up the activity tables in the back patio area under a shaded easy-up.
There was a bead station, a make-your-own-crown station, a play dough station…
…and a sensory table that might have been the favorite spot.
Out front, Daisylane was all set up as a pretend “Frozen” treat shoppe. Pretend ice-cream could be served in a cone, a cup, as a banana split or any way you might want to order it! You could also order coffee or tea! I personally indulged in at least 5 servings of pretend ice-cream. Who could resist with all the cuties serving it up so enthusiastically?
The trailer was beyond a hit that day! It was so much fun and so cute and everyone loves it and has an appreciation for the nostalgia it represents.
So maybe you have a creative idea or way to use the trailer that we haven’t thought of yet? Let us know. A photo shoot, meeting, picnic? We’d love to hear from you.
